During the busy summer months, CP&S relies on its student staff to keep our facilities running and to welcome campus visitors. Primary assignments could include Information Desk, University Switchboard, Setup Crew or Programs & Services Assistant, Ticket Office, but summer staff shouldn’t be surprised to find themselves doing a little bit of everything! We expect our summer workers to be available, flexible team players. You may be required to work evenings and weekends. If there’s an area where you’re absolutely unable or unwilling to work, please let us know below.
You don’t have to be enrolled in summer classes to submit this application, but if you plan to be, please tell us about your class schedule in as much detail as possible. Also list any other known scheduling factors, such as other jobs, internship hours, or research commitments.
Important: The term of employment for summer jobs with CP&S begins on the first day of summer session 1 and ends on the last day of summer session 2. The interim period between sessions is included in the term of employment. Hiring preference is given to students who are available to work the entire term.
Use the box below to tell us about any prior work experience you may have had, including WFU campus jobs, unpaid internships and volunteer work. Please list your most recent jobs first and include the dates that you held the positions and what your primary duties were. If you have never held a job before, that’s okay! Just enter “no previous positions”.
• The summer term of employment will begin with a training session on or near the first day (time and date TBA) and will include several staff meetings. Non-attendance at training and meetings could result in termination of employment.
• Our facilities are open early in the morning, late at night, on weekends, and sometimes on holidays. You may be required to work during these times.
• Summer staff positions are flexible due to the variable summer conference schedule. No matter what primary assignment summer staff members are given, all staff members are expected to be available for additional shifts as needed.
• This application is not an offer of employment. CP&S staff will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
